What we measure

To learn which stories people find useful, our site records simple reading statistics, such as which page was opened, how far down the page a reader got, roughly how long they read, which link or share button they tapped, and whether they came from a search engine, social media or a shared link.

What we don't collect

Our own reading statistics do not use cookies, do not store IP addresses and do not collect names, emails or anything that identifies you. A random setting stored in your browser decides which of two headline versions you see.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our weekly email, we store your email address, the page you signed up on and the date, and use them only to send the newsletter. We never sell or share your address. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or write to info@relatazo.com to be removed.

Third parties

We also use Google Analytics, which does set cookies, to count visits in aggregate, and Microsoft Clarity, which uses cookies and records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, with text you type hidden) so we can see where pages are confusing. We use these insights only to improve the site. You can block it with any standard browser privacy setting or extension and the site will still work. Our fonts are served from our own server. When we start showing advertising, our ad partners may use cookies, and we will update this page and ask for consent where the law requires it.
